An Alberta professor plans to survey 5,000 Fort McMurray students to see how the wildfire evacuation and displacement has affected them. One year later, triggers are unavoidable for some.

Preparations are underway to accommodate thousands of students back into Fort McMurray schools. The two main schools districts expects to see about 85 to 90 per cent of the student population return after May's devastating wildfires.

Kevin Bergen, the principal at Fort McMurray Composite High School, is driving around the Edmonton area to check in on students displaced by this month's massive wildfire.
