Edmonton fire officials are using the rescue of a wayward canine to warn people to stay away from the rising North Saskatchewan River.

The owner of the Edmonton Riverboat is assessing the damage after what he called unusually rapid water level fluctuations caused part of the boat to end up submerged in the North Saskatchewan River Wednesday.
