Over two days, thousands of volunteer drivers took toys from the depot at 630 CHED Santas Anonymous to about 20,000 kids across Edmonton.

A group of local volunteers has banded together for the second holiday since the pandemic started, opening their hearts, and their wallets, for people in need.

On Saturday and Sunday, hundreds of delivery drivers will arrive at Santas Depot to take gift packages to about 20,000 kids across Edmonton. 

One Edmonton charity is seeing unprecedented demand for its services ahead of the holidays, but donations are at a concerningly low number.

As COVID-19 continues, KBL Environmental has come up with a rather unique fundraiser idea in support of the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation.

The organization said it was aiming to raise $1.3 million but came up about $165,000 short.

The Christmas Bureau of Edmonton has put out an urgent call for volunteers. The organization relies on the help of about 900 volunteers throughout the campaign.

The new 93,000-square-foot warehouse is home to a total of 18 charitable organizations, including 630 CHED Santas Anonymous.

One week ago, the food bank wasn't even halfway to its donation goal. But in the last seven days, Edmontonians have stepped up.
