A B.C. man has been sentenced to five years in prison after being convicted of manslaughter in the death of an off-duty Abbotsford police officer.

Const. Allan Young was off duty in Nelson, B.C., when he attempted to calm a disturbance involving Alex Willness on July 16, 2020. He was critically injured and died days later.
