EDMONTON – Police are searching for a 22-year-old man after a violent break and enter in west Edmonton earlier this week.
Around 6:00 Tuesday night, police were called to the area of of 101 Avenue and 162 Street after a report of a break and enter.
Police say a woman in the home was allegedly sexually assaulted and held against her will by the male suspect. Officers say the man is known to the victim.
Police are now asking for the public’s help in locating Christian Iturriaga. He is arrestable on two counts of break and enter to commit assault, sexual assault, forcible confinement, uttering threats, and three counts of breach of condition.
Iturriaga is described as a darker-skinned Hispanic man who is 5′ 9″ tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes. The 22-year-old has a horizontal scar below his lower lip. He has numerous tattoos, including the letters ‘CI’ on his left pinky finger, the word ‘karma’ on his left forearm, and a large 3/4 sleeve tattoo on his right arm.
