CALGARY- A high-risk offender who RCMP previously warned the public about is on the run.
Dean Zimmerman, 47, was convicted of a number of violent offences, including sexual assault and forcible confinement.
In April, he was released into the Red Deer area after serving a 34-month prison sentence. There was concern that he poses a risk to females who may become involved in a relationship with him.

A Canada-wide warrant has since been issued for Zimmerman, for breaching the conditions of his release. He’s believed to be in the Red Deer area.
Zimmerman is described as 5’9”, about 200 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers, and not approach him.
