HIGH RIVER, Ab – A gas line rupture in High River on Tuesday caused a small explosion and sparked a fire.
Construction crews in the southwest Alberta town struck a main feeder line around 8 p.m.

The gas build-up blasted out the doors of a car wash and blew a transformer.
Officials say firefighters had to be cautious while heading in to battle the blaze because of the risk of more explosions.
ATCO says gas supply to many homes was impacted as they worked to fix the line.
There are no reports of injuries.
