A small explosion occurred in the basement of a home in Calgary’s Bowness neighbourhood Thursday after 10:30 p.m., police said.

Emergency crews arrived at the home in the 4500 block of 72nd Street Northwest and found a man suffering from minor injuries.

The man received medical treatment at the home.
Police are investigating but suspect the explosion was connected to illicit drug production.
