The Ontario Provincial Police say Highway 401 has reopened in Milton following a serious crash on Monday morning. A driver going the wrong way on the highway has also been charged.
Police said the crash happened around 6 a.m. and had closed Highway 401’s westbound lanes at Guelph Line. All lanes have reopened to motorists.
The head-on crash occurred due to a wrong way driver who was arrested for suspected impaired driving.
Police said that driver has been charged with dangerous driving, impaired driving and having an excess blood alcohol level.

A passenger in the other vehicle was taken to hospital with serious injuries, police said.
