One person was seriously injured following a crash on Main Street East at James in Hamilton, Ont., Friday afternoon.
Hamilton police say a male bystander, seated on a street bench, suffered a lower leg injury around 5 p.m. when a Mustang sedan veered off the roadway and mounted a sidewalk.
The vehicle, travelling eastbound, crashed into multiple fixtures on Main including a building and a light stand before coming to a stop.
Two others were also transported to hospital, according to paramedics.
The driver was uninjured.
The bystander was listed in serious but stable condition as of Saturday morning.
A stretch of Main Street East was closed for several hours amid an investigation before reopening late on Friday.
Police are seeking witnesses and surveillance video from the occurrence and anyone with information can reach out to Hamilton police or Crime Stoppers.
