Snowfall warning ended for parts of Saskatchewan

Parts of central and northern Saskatchewan were under a snowfall warning on Friday. Skytracker Weather

SASKATOON – A snowfall warning has ended for parts of central and northern Saskatchewan.

Environment Canada said a low pressure system would move across the prairies over the next 24 hours.

Snow in the warned areas that extended from Meadow Lake to Kamsack began falling Friday morning and lingered into Saturday.

Total amounts will is expected to be 10 to 15 centimetres, with some areas possibly receiving up to 20 centimetres of snow, primarily near the Manitoba border.

  • Meadow Lake – Big River – Green Lake – Pierceland
  • Prince Albert – Shellbrook – Spiritwood – Duck Lake
  • Melfort – Tisdale – Nipawin – Carrot River
  • Hudson Bay – Porcupine Plain
  • Kamsack – Canora – Preeceville
