Toronto police say they are trying to identify a boy or young man who was found unconscious on a sidewalk after a suspected assault.
Police said on Sunday around 11 p.m., officers found an unconscious male near Kipling Avenue and Dixon Road.
He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries by paramedics, police said, adding on Tuesday that the victim’s condition has not improved.
A dark sedan reportedly stopped in the area late Sunday, with two suspects seen exiting the vehicle. Police said they moved an injured person from the trunk of the car and onto the sidewalk.
They then allegedly returned to the car and fled the scene.
The male is described as a young man or a boy, between 13 to 20 years old, around 93 pounds, thin, and five feet four inches tall, police said.
He has short black hair, a clean-shaven face and a scar above his right elbow.
Police said he had a black puffy jacket and black pants on. The jacket is described as a black “Trapstar” bubble jacket and police have released an image of it.
No information on suspects has yet been released.
