Truck tangle ties up Ontario highway

Police were forced to close a northwest Ontario highway Thursday after more than a dozen transport trucks got tangled up.

Ontario Provincial Police said icy conditions led to the crash involving up to 14 tractor trailers on Highway 17 between Kenora and Vermillion Bay. Kenora is about 200 km east of Winnipeg.

Police said injuries were minor.

The crash happened at about 2 a.m. Wednesday and the highway remained closed throughout the day.
