MAYMONT, Sask. – Foggy conditions may be partly to blame for a crash that closed a section of Highway 16 east of Maymont, Sask., according to RCMP officers at the scene.
The crash occurred when an RV towing an SUV crashed into the back of a semi tractor trailer just after 7 p.m. Tuesday local time.
Mounties at the scene of the crash say the semi had been travelling slow due to fog in the area.

Officers also confirmed that the female driver of the RV was in serious but stable condition.
No fatalities have been reported.
Mounties say the eastbound lanes are completely blocked and will remain closed until further notice.
Vehicle are being detoured on to a grid road while the crash scene is cleared.
