A 38-year-old pilot was taken to hospital with a broken leg after crashing his small home built Zodiac plane in Delta.
Delta police say the plane crashed shortly after take-off at the Delta Heritage Airpark around 11:30 a.m. this morning.
It incurred some unknown issues after take-off, touched down, and then immediately took off again before crash landing.
The pilot was the only person on board.
The Transportation Safety Board did not attend the scene. Delta Police are in the preliminary stages of the investigation.
It does not appear that there are any external factors or issues with the plane that contributed to the crash.
