One dead, another in serious condition following crash near Kelowna’s Apple Bowl

RCMP are appealing to the public for help as they investigate deadly collision in Kelowna – Dec 12, 2022

RCMP have now confirmed that one person is dead, and another was taken to hospital in serious condition, after a single-vehicle crash in Kelowna on Monday morning.

RCMP closed a portion of Bernard Avenue west of Burtch Road and at Cherry Crescent West near the Apple Bowl for hours as they worked to extricate the person in a dark blue SUV and clear the scene.

They’ve yet to offer any information about what led to the crash but said the family had been informed. The crash victim has not been identified.

The intersection of Lawrence Avenue and Burtch Road is also closed to traffic. Emergency services have been called as these streets are expected to be closed for several hours as the investigation continues.
