When your house is on fire, priorities are important. And for one Georgia man, that meant saving his brewskies.
A family in Columbus, Georgia were watching television Friday when the room began filling with smoke. They all ran outside to safety after flames broke out.
But Walter Serpit, who walks with a cane, bravely trotted back inside to rescue the beer in the fridge.

“I went back into the house like a dummy and the door shut on me because of this back draft. It was about to kill me.” Serpit later admitted to ABC-13 in Columbus.
“I told them to get the kids out and everything, and me myself, being an alcoholic, I was trying to get my beer out,” he told reporters, “You feel me?”
Serpit emerged from the house unscathed, along with several cans of Bud Light.
The residents said the fire may have been caused by a newly installed water heater.
