One person has been taken to hospital after a police-involved shooting in Vaughan, Ont., officers say.
York Regional Police said the shooting occurred in the Hanlan Road and Pine Valley Drive area at around 8:30 a.m., on Wednesday.
The force said officers responded to an industrial plaza for a weapons call.
“An interaction occurred between officers and a male suspect and the suspect was shot,” police said in a news release.

Officers said he was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
The province’s police watchdog — the Special Investigation’s Unit — is asking anyone with video surveillance to call 1-800-787-8529.
