CALGARY- The beautiful fall weather is about to come to abrupt end.
On Thursday afternoon, a special weather statement was issued by Environment Canada for southern and central Alberta.

A high-pressure system building in the Arctic combined with an upper level disturbance is expected to produce between five and 10 centimeters of snow on Sunday. Even more could hit higher terrain areas.
The snow is forecast to hit on Sunday morning, and end the same evening.
