Highway near Leduc closed due to ‘heavy police presence’: RCMP

Police are advising drivers to take alternate routes near Leduc, just south of Edmonton Monday night.

Highway 21 between Highway 623 and Highway 625 is closed due to a police incident.

Leduc RCMP said in a news release that “there will be a heavy police presence in the area until the matter is resolved.” However there is no threat to the public and the area is contained.
