TORONTO — Veteran actor Colm Feore has been named one of this year’s recipients of the Gascon-Thomas Award from Montreal’s National Theatre School of Canada (NTS).
Feore, 55, graduated from NTS’s acting program in 1980 and has enjoyed a remarkable career on stage, television and in movies. His recent work includes a role on The Borgias and in the upcoming movie Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.

Feore will play the title role in King Lear at the Stratford Festival next summer.
Born in Boston, he grew up in Windsor, Ont. and has lived in Stratford for many years.
Also receiving the Gascon-Thomas Award at the Nov. 1 ceremony is renowned Quebec playwright Suzanne Lebeau.
