Toronto police are searching for three suspects after a carjacking on Monday evening.
In a tweet, Toronto police said they were called to the area of Warden Avenue and Bamburgh Circle for reports of a carjacking.
The call came at around 5:10 p.m.
Police said three suspects were involved and a firearm was seen.
Officers said three men “driving a getaway vehicle” came to a stop and two got out as a 37-year-old woman was returning to her parked vehicle.
One of the men allegedly pointed a gun at the woman and demanded her purse, phone and car keys.
The three men fled the scene in the two cars, according to police.
The first man is described as thin build, 20 to 30 years old and around five-feet-nine-inches tall with short, black hair. The second man was a similar age and police had no description for the third.
The getaway car was a blue coloured sedan and the stolen vehicle has been recovered, police said.
The investigation is ongoing and police have asked anyone with information to get in touch.
