EASTERN PASSAGE, N.S. – Firefighters were called to a blaze at a large shed on Shore Road in Eastern Passage around 5:30 a.m. Monday.
When firefighters arrived, flames could be seen shooting from the roof at one end of the shed, which measures 20 feet by 24 feet. It took crews about an hour to knock down the fire.

Cory Beals, the division commander for Halifax Regional Fire, said crews were concerned about the shed’s proximity to nearby homes. He said the contents of the garage were also a concern.
“A lot of tools and our items in the shed, so fire crews had to fight through all of that in order to gain access to a lot of the hidden fires,” he said.
No one was in the shed at the time of the fire, and there are no reports of injuries.
Investigators will be on scene for the morning to determine the cause of the fire.
