Cory Beals, the division commander for Halifax Regional Fire, said crews were concerned about the shed’s proximity to nearby homes. He said the contents of the garage were also a concern.

“A lot of tools and our items in the shed, so fire crews had to fight through all of that in order to gain access to a lot of the hidden fires,” he said.

No one was in the shed at the time of the fire, and there are no reports of injuries.
