Residents of Port Edward have cast their votes for their next mayor in the 2022 B.C. municipal election.
Global News is projecting that incumbent Knut Bjorndal has been re-elected as the community’s mayor after gathering nearly 60 per cent of Saturday’s vote.
Projected to win seats on council are Colleen Mcdonald, Dan Franzen, James Brown and Christine Mackenzie.
Bjorndal beat former mayor Dave MacDonald by just 10 votes in the 2018 election.
