Emergency crews were called to the Liberty Suites Hotel, in the area of Yonge Street and Meadowview Avenue, for reports of a fight at 11:20 p.m.

Police said when officers arrived at the scene, they learned that a man suffering from a gunshot wound had made his own way to hospital.

Paramedics said they then transported him from a hospital to a trauma centre in serious but stable condition.

His injuries were reported to be non-life-threatening, police said.

“Through the investigation, on August 11, officers located two vehicles, a silver Honda Civic and a dark-blue Dodge Charger, along with seven suspects believed connected with the shooting, in the area of the hotel,” police said.

“The suspects have been arrested, however charges have yet to be laid as the investigation continues.”

Anyone with information on the shooting or with video footage from the area was asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
