Welcoming Anne Mroczkowski

Here we are, just hours away from my version of D-Day; my first broadcast with the awesome Leslie Roberts!!

I’m feeling a mix of emotions. On one hand, can hardly contain my excitement, on the other, I’m feeling a little nervous too. Guess that’s just a sense of being a little rusty after being off the air for several months.

My impressions? Leslie and the whole news team in front and behind the cameras have been so warm and welcoming. This is a group of people passionately devoted to local news, dedicated to bringing a high standard of excellence to every story they bring you at 6 o’clock.

Going into this first newscast, I’m hoping Global Toronto’s News Hour audience enjoys the two of us on the anchor desk. Already, Leslie and I seem to bring the best out of each other. June 1st marks the start of a new era for Global Toronto on many levels. So hold onto your hats and keep your eyes open for many new changes to the News Hour coming your way over the next few months!
