Jonas Brothers cancel tour, including shows in Vancouver, Montreal

TORONTO — The Jonas Brothers have cancelled upcoming shows in Montreal and Vancouver — and the band’s entire tour — over creative differences.

Spokesperson Jesse Derris told People: “There is a deep rift within the band. There was a big disagreement over their music direction.”

The 19-city tour was scheduled to kick off Friday in Pennsylvania.

Among the shows cancelled are an Oct. 16 stop at Montreal’s Metropolis and a Nov. 5 show at the Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver.

Ticket holders can receive refunds at point of purchase.

A message posted on their official website on Monday read: “Kevin, Joe and Nick are stripping the music down so they can be closer to their audience for a more personal, up close concert experience — one not to be missed!”

Kevin, 25, Joe, 24, and Nick, 21, have sold over 20 millions since their 2007 debut. A new album entitled V was scheduled for release later this year.
