Edmonton fire, police looking into vertical car under Campbell Bridge

A car was found lodged vertically under the Campbell Bridge on Thursday morning.

Edmonton Fire Rescue Services arrived at the scene in the area of Fox Drive and Whitemud Drive at 6:47 a.m.

Edmonton police said a person in the area noticed the vehicle around 6:45 a.m. and called police.

Edmonton police arrived quickly and an officer at the scene told Global News no one was in the car or nearby.

It’s unclear how the car ended up under the bridge.

Edmonton police are working to determine how the vehicle ended up where it did. Officers are also investigating to determine who had been operating the vehicle.

At this time, EFRS said there were no reports of injuries.
