TORONTO – A Toronto judge is set to rule today in the case of an 89-year-old peace activist who refused to fill out the census because of its link to a U.S. military contractor.

Audrey Tobias says she didn’t file her 2011 census because it is processed using software from Lockheed Martin.

One man is in critical condition and another man was also injured after a fire in Scarborough overnight. According to Toronto Fire Services, the fire started in the basement of the house where both men were living.

Loblaw Companies is issuing a national recall of frozen hamburgers due to a potential E.coli contamination. The recall concerns the President’s Choice® Thick & Juicy Burgers in package size 40 x 113 g (4 oz).
