CALGARY -A Calgary judge has ruled that medical notes and psychiatric reports are admissible as evidence in Dustin Paxton’s dangerous offender hearing.
He was found guilty of four of five charges including aggravated assault and sexual assault on a former Calgary roommate.

Paxton was arrested three years ago after a badly beaten and emaciated man was dumped at a Regina hospital.
Defence lawyers tried to prevent the doctor reports from being entered as evidence.
The judge also ruled that Paxton failed to show there was a breach of his Charter rights.
Paxton’s dangerous offender hearing is to resume Thursday.
