SASKATOON – Three people were taken to hospital after a multi-vehicle crash east of Saskatoon on Monday evening.
Just after 7 p.m., an eastbound vehicle on Highway 5 was attempting to turn left onto Highway 41 when it was struck by a westbound vehicle.

The impact then sent the eastbound vehicle into a stopped southbound vehicle on Highway 41.
Three people received minor to moderate injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.
Saskatoon firefighters had to use the heavy rescue tools to extricate one of the injured from their vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle attempting to turn left was been charged with failing to yield to an approaching vehicle.
