Bombers back at work after home game blowout

WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are expected to sign as many as seven players by Wednesday, as CFL practice rosters expand for the final third of the season.

The Bombers, with only two wins and 11 losses this season, returned to the practice field Tuesday for the first time since Friday’s ugly blowout loss to the B.C. Lions, who won 53-17.

Two of the new arrivals are import running back Mario Fannin and import defensive end J.D. Griggs. Both have been signed to the practice roster. The Bombers have also released running back Bradley Randall.

The Bombers’ next game is Saturday in Calgary against the Stampeders.
