EDMONTON- An Alberta man is dead after a motorcycle collision near Sylvan Lake Saturday evening.
RCMP and EMS were called to the collision around 6:15 p.m. It happened about one kilometre west of Highway 20 on Rainy Creek Road, north of Sylvan Lake.

RCMP say the man was riding in a group of motorcyclists when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The man left the road and hit a fence.
The victim has been identified as 62-year-old Lloyd Spittal of Eckville, Alberta. He was taken to Red Deer Regional Hospital where he died a short time later.
No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
