The Calgary Flames have made a trade deadline day deal, sending backup goalie Curtis McElhinney to the Anaheim Ducks for G Vesa Toskala.
McElhinney, 26, struggled at times this season, with just three wins in 10 starts and a .885 save percentage.
Toskala, the former Leaf who was traded to Anaheim with Jason Blake for Jean-Sebastien Giguere in January, has seven wins in 26 starts this season and sports a .874 save percentage.The Finn will be the backup for Flames starter Miikka Kiprusoff, also a native of FInland.
