York Regional Police (YRP) said two vehicles were involved in a “serious” head-on collision on Teston Road, just east of Pine Valley Drive, on Wednesday.

Police said officers received a call about the crash at around 5 p.m. Wednesday that involved a white Hyundai Sonata and a black Mercedes GLE.

“It appears that one vehicle was eastbound and one was westbound when one of the vehicles crossed the centerline and collided with the other vehicle,” York Regional Police Staff Sgt. Stephen Yan said.

Yan said both drivers were treated at the scene by emergency services.

The driver of the Mercedes suffered minor injuries and was released, police said.
