Winnipeg Police closed northbound Main at Assiniboine due to a crash Wednesday morning.
Drivers were being directed to exit at Assiniboine and can get back onto Main Street via Broadway.
Police reopened the northbound median lane around 8 a.m. but expect delays as some lanes are still partially blocked.
Police say it happened at 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
The lone driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
“The vehicle had struck a tree at Main Street and Assiniboine Avenue, rendering the driver unconscious and trapped inside,” said police.
“WFPS attended the scene and extracted the driver from the vehicle.”
