RCMP investigate northern N.B. stabbing

EEL RIVER CROSSING, N.B. – The RCMP in New Brunswick say they are continuing to investigate a stabbing yesterday in a parking lot in Eel River Crossing.

Police say they were called shortly before 2 p.m. yesterday to the parking lot of a local business where a man had been stabbed.

A 60-year-old man from Eel River Crossing was airlifted to the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Police say he is listed in critical but stable condition.

A 71-year-old man from the Eel River Crossing area was arrested and is scheduled to appear in Campbellton, N.B. provincial court this afternoon.
