Man, child recovered safely after going missing in Addington Highlands: OPP

Lennox and Addington OPP say a man and a child who went missing off ATV trails in Addington Highlands Township, Ont., have been recovered.

Police say 36-year-old Dwayne Phillips and eight-year-old Michael Rahm were reported missing after leaving on an ATV Wednesday evening and not returning.

Around 1 p.m. Thursday, OPP say the duo was found safe and well. Police said they had mechanical issues and then got lost in the woods.

Prior to their recovery, local OPP, emergency response officers, canine units and an OPP helicopter searched trails in the area of Concession Road 5 since 10 p.m. Wednesday, where the two were meant to be riding.
