There might be some confusion for drivers this morning after a brand new overpass has been opened in Coquitlam.
There are no more traffic signals at United Boulevard for Mary Hill Bypass drivers connecting to Highway One going westbound.
The new overpass opened this morning and now connects Mary Hill Bypass westbound traffic directly to Highway One.
It is part of the time-saving improvements being introduced in the Cape Horn Interchange.
The old on-ramp to Highway 1 westbound from United Boulevard southbound is now closed (see the map). Drivers wishing to access Highway 1 westbound from United Boulevard should use the Coleman Avenue on-ramp or the Brunette Interchange via Lougheed Highway.
Drivers on Mary Hill Bypass westbound wishing to connect to United Boulevard can do so by using the Mary Hill Bypass exit ramp to access the intersection to the right of the new Mary Hill overpass.

Once the entire project is completed, it’s expected to save commuters about an hour of driving each day.
