22-year-old woman found dead after shooting in west Mississauga

Peel Regional Police say a 22-year-old woman is dead following a shooting in Mississauga on Wednesday night.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting near Ninth Line and Burnhamthorpe Road West at around 11:38 p.m.

Police said the woman was found outside of a business complex in the area suffering from gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead on scene.

In an update Thursday evening, she was identified as Walkerton resident Marissa Radstake.

The homicide unit has taken over the investigation, police said.
