TORONTO — Pop superstar Lady Gaga took the wraps off the video for her new single “Applause” on Monday.
The video features scenes of a nearly-naked Gaga as well as back-up dancers in nothing more than lingerie.
The video was filmed in Los Angeles by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.
According to Billboard, “Applause” likely sold between 200,000 and 250,000 downloads in its first week — exact figures are due Aug. 21 — which is about half the sales for her 2011 single “Born This Way.”
