Gas leak sparks evacuation concerns at airport

CALGARY- It was a turbulent afternoon at the Calgary International Airport on Wednesday, after a gas leak near the terminal.

It happened around 4 p.m., when a main line was hit at a construction site.

Workers were moved out of the area, and there were fears the airport would also have to be evacuated. However, ATCO crews managed to seal the leak without further incident.

No delays were reported at the airport, as a result of the incident.
