KELOWNA — Local orchards were hard hit by Monday’s storm, causing millions of dollars in damage to crops in one rural Kelowna neighbourhood alone. Apples and grapes in East Kelowna were battered by hail that not only fell from the sky, but bounced after striking the ground. The widespread devastation was shocking, especially since the bumper crops were just about ready for harvest. Doris bregolisse has the story.
