Crews in Chilliwack, B.C., were called to a brush fire Thursday afternoon.
The fire is still smoldering Friday morning and is located in difficult terrain near Yale Road West and Cannor Road.
Officials said two CN Rail employees are keeping an eye on the blaze that is now contained.
About 45 firefighters had to carry equipment across open grassland to fight the flames when the fire broke out Thursday.
No structures are threatened but a long-ladder truck was brought in to protect a nearby industrial site.
