Regina police lay charge in city’s 4th homicide of 2021

A man from Vibank, Sask., has been identified as Regina’s fourth homicide victim of 2021.

Regina police said officers were called to a home in the 100 block of St. John Street just after 4:14 a.m. Sunday for a report of an injured man.

Lawrence Robert Godfrey, 45, was declared dead by paramedics. Police have not said how he died.

His family has been notified and police said they are being supported by victim services.

A 25-year-old Regina man has been charged in connection with the homicide.

Police said their investigation resulted in the arrest of Anthony Trey Seon on March 7.

According to a press release on Monday afternoon, the Regina man is facing a charge of second-degree murder. The accused is expected to make his first provincial court appearance on Tuesday morning.
