Great-uncle of N.B. children strangled by python calls them ‘joyous little boys’

HALIFAX – The great uncle of two boys strangled by a python in Campbellton, N.B. says they were “happy go lucky little kids”.

The children, identified as Noah and Connor Barthe, were found dead in an apartment above a pet store early Monday morning. A criminal investigation is ongoing and autopsies are pending.

Terry Rose told Global News that the five- and seven-year-old were normal, everyday kids.

“I can’t explain no more than that to you. They were two little boys, joyous little boys, trying to live a normal everyday life, I guess,” he said.
