Kitchener Market sets up online shop: ‘This will make it easier to choose local’

If you like to shop for meat and produce at the Kitchener Market but prefer to avoid crowds as we struggle through the COVID-19 pandemic, a new online store is now available to serve your needs.

The City of Kitchener announced the store on Monday, saying it will allow shoppers to order more than 500 products including fresh fruit, meats and cheeses.

“I’m excited for the opportunity this new online store will offer for additional shoppers to support our local vendors,” Coun. Sarah Marsh stated

From Monday until Thursday at noon, shoppers can now place orders online for pickup on Saturday in the upper hall.

The Market is still open from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturdays although the Food Hall and all in-person marketplace classes, cooking events, and rentals remain cancelled or have moved online.
