Victoria police probe suspected road rage

VICTORIA – Victoria police are investigating a suspected case of road rage after a crash between an SUV and a motorcycle left the motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries.

The crash happened Tuesday of last week, when the SUV hit the motorcycle from behind.

The injured motorcyclist was a 55-year-old man from Central Saanich, while the driver of the SUV was a 55-year-old man from Sidney.

A news release says Victoria police detectives have since determined that the two men may have been involved in an altercation as they drove into town.

Investigators are asking anyone who saw the two vehicles before the crash to come forward.
