Teen reported missing in Big River, Sask. found dead

RCMP say a teen reported missing in Big River, Sask., has been found dead.

Jayden Crookedneck, 17, left a family group on Main Street at around 2 a.m. on Saturday and went walking in the direction of the Big River boat launch, according to police.

It was reported to police that Crookedneck was later seen walking north on Mill Avenue around 2:30 a.m.

He was reported missing by his family, who were concerned for his well-being.

Police said Crookedneck was not dressed to spend a long period of time outside.

Big River RCMP said Crookedneck was found dead on Sunday afternoon.

A cause of death has not been released.

Big River is roughly 230 km north of Saskatoon.
