Victim in critical condition after fire at downtown Toronto hotel

Toronto Fire Services says a person was pulled from a sixth-floor unit at a downtown Toronto hotel early Tuesday.

Emergency crews responded to a fire at Hotel Victoria on Yonge Street, near Wellington Street, at around 4 a.m.

Paramedics said a victim in their 40s was transported to hospital in critical condition.

Fire officials said an investigator is on scene to determine the cause of the fire.
